يهدف البحث إلى تحديد أفضلية نمطي المناقشة الإلکترونية (الموجهة-الحرة) في فصول جوجل التعليمية، وذلک فيما يتعلق بتنمية معارف ومهارات تصميم وتطويرالقصص الرقمية لدى طلاب تکنولوجيا تعليم. وقد تم الاعتماد على التصميم التجريبي القائم على مجموعتين تجريبتين،  وتضمن التصميم التجريبي متغير مستقل بمستويين هما المناقشة الإلکترونية الموجهة والمناقشة الإلکترونية الحرة في فصول جوجل التعليمية، ومتغيرين تابعين وهما الجانب المعرفي والجانب المهارى لتصميم وتطوير القصص الرقمية.  وتمثلت أدوات البحث في الاختبار التحصيلي وبطاقة تقييم منتج وتکونت عينة البحث من 30 طالبًا وطالبة تم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين متساوتين حسب نمطي المناقشة الإلکترونية، تکونت کل مجموعة (15) طالبًا/طالبة. وقد أشارت النتائج إلى فاعلية استخدام المناقشات الإلکترونية بنمطيها الموجه والحر بفصول جوجل التعليمية فى تنمية معارف الطلاب لتصميم وتطوير قصص رقمية تعليمية . وأشارت أيضًا إلى أفضلية استخدام المناقشات الحرة في تنمية مهارات تصميم وإنتاج القصص الرقمية  بالمقارنة بالمناقشات الموجهة
The research aims to determine the preference of two types of electronic discussion (controlled-free) in educational Google classrooms, in relation to develop knowledge and skills of educational technology students to design and develop digital stories. The experimental design consisted of two independent variables: controlled e-discussion and free e-discussion in the Google educational classes, and two dependent variables, namely, the cognitive side and the skill side to design and develop digital stories. The research tools consisted of achievement test and a product evaluation card. The research sample consisted of 30 students who were divided into two equal groups according to two types of electronic discussions. Each group consisted of (15) students. The results pointed to the effectiveness of the use of electronic discussions in the form of controlled and free in Google educational classes in the development of students' knowledge to design and develop digital educational stories. It also noted the advantage of using free discussions to develop the skills of designing and producing digital stories compared to controlled discussions
